UnYoked Ministries
Helping Believers Heal, Grow, and Live with Purpose
UnYoked Ministries exists to serve Christians impacted by divorce and guide them toward healing, spiritual growth, meaningful community, and renewed purpose in Christ. What began as a burden to help hurting believers navigate one of life’s most difficult transitions has grown into a ministry that reaches people through podcast conversations, books, online resources, church partnerships, and discipleship-focused content.
Our mission is simple: To help believers move from crisis to healing, from healing to growth, and from growth to a life fully yoked to Christ. We believe divorce is not the end of a person’s story. God’s grace is often writing a new chapter.
Our Story
Many Christians facing divorce discover that the practical, emotional, relational, and spiritual challenges continue long after the legal process is complete. Questions emerge:
- Where do I belong now?
- How do I rebuild my life?
- What does God think of me?
- How do I handle loneliness?
- How do I parent through this?
- Can I trust again?
- Can God still use me?
Unfortunately, many believers struggle to find safe places to discuss these questions openly. UnYoked was created to provide those conversations. Through honest discussions, biblical encouragement, practical wisdom, and real-life stories, we help people discover that while divorce may be part of their story, it does not define their future.
How We Minister
The UnYoked Podcast
At the heart of our ministry is the UnYoked Podcast, where guests, counselors, pastors, ministry leaders, and everyday Christians share practical wisdom and biblical encouragement for life during and after divorce. Topics include: Divorce recovery, Emotional healing, Church involvement, Relationships, Parenting, Singleness, Boundaries, Spiritual growth, Dating, Identity in Christ, Purpose and calling. For many listeners, the podcast becomes the first step toward healing and hope.
Books and Written Resources
UnYoked develops books, study materials, articles, devotionals, and practical resources designed to encourage Christians navigating divorce and recovery. These resources allow individuals to engage with biblical truth at their own pace while addressing the unique challenges of rebuilding life after divorce. Through written content, we seek to provide hope, clarity, wisdom, and practical next steps rooted in Scripture.
Digital Ministry and Online Community
Many people experiencing divorce feel isolated and alone. Through digital content, email communication, social media, video resources, and online encouragement, UnYoked helps people discover that they are not walking this journey by themselves. Our goal is to create connection, encouragement, and discipleship opportunities that extend beyond a single podcast episode or resource.
Our Ministry Framework
Everything we create is built around a simple pathway:
1. UnYoking: Helping Christians navigate the challenges of divorce.
This stage focuses on survival, grief, loss, uncertainty, and finding hope during difficult transitions.
2. UnYoked: Helping Christians rebuild after divorce.
This stage focuses on recovery, healing, identity, relationships, church engagement, and renewed confidence.
3. Yoked to Christ: Helping Christians discover purpose and live on mission.
This stage focuses on discipleship, spiritual maturity, service, mentoring, leadership, and helping others walk a similar path. We believe ministry should not end with recovery; our desire is to see healed people become disciple-makers.
Divorce Ministry to Churches
While UnYoked serves individuals directly, we believe the local church remains God’s primary instrument for discipleship, community, care, and spiritual growth. Our vision is not to replace the church. Our vision is to equip the church. Many congregations have marriage ministries, parenting ministries, men’s ministries, and women’s ministries. Yet many church leaders acknowledge that they lack a clear strategy for helping people after a marriage ends. As a result, individuals often experience isolation, disconnection, and uncertainty at the very moment they most need Christian community. UnYoked seeks to help churches respond with grace, truth, compassion, and discipleship.
Our long-term vision includes:
- Church-based recovery groups
- Small-group curriculum
- Participant workbooks
- Video teaching resources
- Leader training materials
- Mentoring pathways
- Church implementation guides
- Volunteer development resources
- Ongoing church partnerships
Rather than simply helping people survive divorce, we want to help churches create a pathway that leads individuals toward healing, renewed faith, deeper discipleship, and meaningful service. The ultimate goal is multiplication. People who receive care become people who provide care. People who once felt alone become trusted guides for the next person walking through a difficult season.
Looking Forward
The future of UnYoked is centered on expanding our ability to serve both individuals and churches. We envision a growing library of resources, church partnerships, leadership development opportunities, mentoring programs, and discipleship pathways that help Christians impacted by divorce reconnect with God, community, and purpose. We believe every church should have practical tools to care for people impacted by divorce, and every believer should have access to biblical encouragement, meaningful community, and a pathway toward healing and renewed purpose.
Every podcast episode, book, resource, church partnership, and ministry initiative exists for one reason: To help believers heal, grow, and live with purpose in Christ.
Our Team
UnYoked Ministries is led by a team of individuals who believe no Christian should have to navigate divorce alone. Together, we are committed to helping believers find healing, rediscover purpose, and grow in their relationship with Christ.
Our leadership and board provide guidance, accountability, wisdom, and prayer as we pursue the mission of serving individuals impacted by divorce while equipping churches with practical tools for care, discipleship, and restoration.
We believe God can use even the most difficult seasons of life to deepen faith, strengthen character, and prepare people to help others. Through podcasts, resources, mentoring initiatives, and church partnerships, we are working to create pathways that move people from crisis to healing, from healing to discipleship, and from discipleship to ministry.
Meet the people helping shape the future of UnYoked Ministries.
