About the Founder

Todd Turner is the founder of UnYoked Ministries, a Christian nonprofit dedicated to helping believers impacted by divorce find healing, community, discipleship, and renewed purpose in Christ.

After experiencing divorce himself, Todd became increasingly aware of the challenges many Christians face during and after the end of a marriage. While churches often provide strong support for marriage and families, many individuals struggle to find guidance, community, and understanding during the difficult journey of divorce recovery. That burden eventually led Todd to create UnYoked, a ministry focused on providing biblical encouragement, honest conversations, practical resources, and hope for those navigating one of life’s most painful transitions.

Todd is the host of the UnYoked Podcast, where he has spent hundreds of hours interviewing pastors, counselors, ministry leaders, authors, and everyday Christians about divorce, recovery, singleness, relationships, church involvement, spiritual growth, and life after divorce. Through these conversations, he has gained a unique perspective on the challenges facing divorced Christians and the opportunities churches have to provide meaningful care and discipleship.

His vision for UnYoked extends beyond recovery. Todd believes God can use even the most painful seasons of life to develop deeper faith, stronger discipleship, and greater ministry impact. Through the UnYoked pathway of UnYoking, UnYoked, and Yoked to Christ, he hopes to help individuals move from crisis to healing, from healing to growth, and ultimately from recovery to helping others.

In addition to leading UnYoked Ministries, Todd has spent more than two decades helping Christian ministries, churches, nonprofits, and mission organizations communicate their message and expand their reach through digital media, fundraising, marketing, and technology. He has worked alongside organizations serving people around the world and has seen firsthand the power of ministry that combines biblical truth with practical support.

Today, Todd’s passion is helping churches create environments where people impacted by divorce can heal, reconnect with community, grow in their faith, and discover that their story is not over. His long-term vision is to equip churches, develop mentors and ministry leaders, and build resources that help believers live fully yoked to Christ while serving the next generation of people walking through similar challenges.

Todd lives in Frisco, Texas, and is the proud father of three adult children and a new grandfather.
